president’s note
Dear SMASH Community,
Would you like to see SMMUSD offer a small school alternative to SaMoHi? If so, SMASH PTSA is urging you to attend the School Board meeting where the issue will be discussed. The meeting will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. (this is a change from previously emailed).
You do not need to speak, but it would be great if you would do so. If you do, you might want to explain to the Board why you think it is important for SMMUSD to offer an alternative to its students at the high school level. SMMUSD offers choices at the elementary school and middle school level, but there are no alternatives at the high school level.
So, if you are interested in seeing a small progressive public high school in Santa Monica, this is your chance to be heard.
If you want to know more, or would like suggestions for talking points, please contact Lori Nafshun at gettalife@earthlink.net or 310-452-5700.
I hope to see you all there.
Ofer Grossman
